I’m going to show a couple of outtakes today.

This shot (it might be hard to see the Mallards on screen, it looks better as a print) was a failure. What’s notable about it is that I almost destroyed my camera taking it. I was so focused on moving carefully and not startling the ducks that I didn’t pay much attention to how I set up my camera. The tripod was totally off balance, and it tipped over, slamming my camera to the ground so hard that it popped off, slid, and came within inches of falling into the lake. Thankfully, my 4x5 is built like a tank. If it had been my digital camera, I would be shopping for a new one right now.
