Have I posted this before? This photograph was the pinnacle of my brief career as a street photographer. I dug it up from an old hard drive to add to an artist’s talk I’m giving to my undergrads.

Now I’m making portraits of my fellow MFA students. Trying to set up appointments with a large number of very busy people is a lot of work, but I’m really enjoying the actual portrait sessions. I don’t feel comfortable at parties and in other group social situations, so it’s really exciting to have a chance to talk to my colleagues one-on-one. They are really cool people.
My portrait of Emily + Facebook disagreement.
(I am totally right, back off, haters.)
Working, working, working on my portraits, and becoming totally obsessed with the subtle differences between one picture of a person and another.
(If I have taken your portrait and you haven’t seen it yet, give me a few days to get myself together.)
