“Same Mistakes” - The Echo-Friendly
You know what? Girls is a really good show.

Fall TV 2012: A Look At ABC
“Every year, the five major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, The CW, FOX and NBC) order pilots to be considered for the fall season. A pilot, as you may know, is the first episode of a TV series and the final step in a long development process from idea to screen. From the 87 drama and comedy pilots ordered this year, a new crop of television shows will be selected — and this year at ABC, where the schedule tends to typically skew towards soaps or family programming, it looks as though they want to expand into the kind of show that might be at home on a more action-oriented network like Fox.”

Netflix Instant recommendation: alternating episodes of Sports Night and The Larry Sanders Show.
I assumed that there wouldn’t be much in the way of plot advancement because the Doctor Who Christmas specials are always one-off adventures that barely deal with the larger narrative, but nope, a million really important things happened.
I don’t dislike Hell on Wheels, it just that it has yet to move me. I think it wants to be Deadwood meets Blood Meridian, but is just too…subdued? I am also sick of all dudes, all the time, and if that blonde lady doesn’t start talking soon I’m going to get angry.
I’m unfairly skeptical of any AMC show that isn’t Breaking Bad or Mad Men because so many of their other original shows (The Walking Dead, The Killing, Rubicon, The Prisoner. Oh my God, The Prisoner.) have been duds in my book.
Hey, are you watching Homeland?
